The Hastings River

The beautiful Hastings River is the jewel that connects the Hastings Valley. Hire a boat, swim on its beachy shores or take a cruise. Explore it by seaplane or start your whale watching cruise here. There are many fishing spots along the banks from Port Macquarie to Wauchope.

Bago Maze & Winery

A must-visit is the Bago Maze on your trip to Port Macquarie. It’s a perfect trip for families and couples alike. Enjoy the winery views with a fantastic local wine or get lost in what is one of the world’s largest hedge mazes. Be sure to book ahead.

Billabong Zoo

Located just as you enter Port Macquarie you will find the Billabong Zoo. Get up close and personal with its resident Koalas, Meerkats, Cheetahs, Crocodiles, Dingoes, Snow Leopards, Kangaroos, Lions, and more.

Timbertown

Visit historic Timbertown located in Wauchope for a trip to yesteryear. Ride the Steam Train, strike it rich panning for gold or simply enjoy a devonshire tea. A fun day for the whole family.

Tacking Point Lighthouse

The thirteenth oldest lighthouse in Australia can be found at Tacking Point. With views stretching from Lighthouse Beach to Bonny Hills often you will find pods of Dolphins or a good whale watching spot here.
